Adding contacts

You can add contacts to an existing client record by clicking on the plus sign at the contacts panel:

The new contact window appears:

Here you can type the contact's name, choose his position, responsibility, private address, etc.

You can attach a photo as well by clicking on the add picture button, or by simply drag & drop the photo to the photo area.

Tip: You can see a little icon in the upper-right corner of the photo area. This can be used to do an image search on the internet. You may find a photo of the contact using this. Just simply drag&drop from the found images the image you like.

Contact states

There are some states that can be attached to a contact.

The active state show that the contacts is active at the company. You can remove this flag, if the contact is no longer working at the company. In that case he will appear yellow, at the contacts list.

Main contact is used to show that this contact is a main contact at the company (for e.g.: CEO, etc).

Promo contact indicates that this contact gets the promotions, you can later search for this when doing a bulk communication.

My address book is a flag one can set up for himself. It's mainly used to mark contacts that you often communicate with.

No promotion is a flag that indicates bulk communication functions that this contact must not receive a bulk communication.

Friendly speaking is a flag that one can set up for himself, to know that they usually speak in a freely, friendly, informal way.

Multiple contact data

There are four kinds of information that can have multiple values in CRM+.

These are phone numbers, fax numbers, cell phone numbers and email addresses.

These are located at the bottom-left corner of the contact dialog. To add a new entry, just click on the contact type (for e.g.: click on the Direct phone label):

Here you can set the contact data, and can add some additional notes to it.

You can do the same with the email addresses. This contact type also tries to guess if the email address is correct :

Editing happens by clicking on the contact data:

If it's an email address there's an additional button, with which you can add a contact to CRM+'s inner mailing list, which can be found at Reports- Other statistics - Mailing list. If the contact is already added the button's label will be “Remove from mailing list”.

Personal categories

Personal categories are like client categories
at the main page, but it's used for contacts. You can add multiple categories, and search for them later:

Searching contacts

You can search for contacts at the Search panel:

Here you can search for everything that you filled at a contact record.

By default searching searches for company records, so for example if you do a search for Johns it will list those companies who have a John contact. To search for contacts to do an exporting, or bulk mailing, you have to first toggle the icon at the upper right corner to contact searching, then do the search.
