The attached companies function is used to link two or more clients together based on some kind of relation.
You can find this at the main page:
It has two kind of views.
The attached company view shows what clients are linked from this clients. The other, belongs to company view shows those clients from where this particular company is linked from.
For example if you link A to B, on A's page you will see B on the attached company view. If you look at B's main page, you will see A on the belongs to company panel.
By clicking on the plus sign, you can add a new attached company relation:
First you have to choose the related client name by clicking on the client name:
Just type in the first some letters of the client name to choose the client:
If you click on the little info button, you can view the client's page as well.
After choosing the client, you have to choose the contact there.
If you don't have yet a contact there, you can add one by clicking on the plus sign.
The next you have to set up the company relation:
Here you choose the main and the subcategory of the relation. If you wish, you can add new categories by clicking on the plus sign.
Editing can be done by clicking on the red icon in front of the category name.
After this you can store the attached company record by clicking on the OK button.
You will see that newly created record in the list:
There is a little arrow in front of it. By clicking on it, you will get to the attached company's page.
Attached companies can be searched at the search panel.
Sample: You want those clients who are linked as a supplier:
In this case, choose the relation type (supplier). Then in the attached company field, type a *. If you don't write a * in the attached company field, it would list both the attached clients, and the clients where these attachments were created.
